Webmaster Jam Session 2007

Webmaster Jam Session 2007

Remember when I said that I was going to be more proactive in going after speaking opportunities? The approach has already paid off as I'll be speaking at the Webmaster Jam Session in Dallas, Texas. It's on Septermber 21 and 22 and I hope to see you there. I keep hearing from everybody that was there last year that it's plenty of fun. I'm definitely looking forward to meeting plenty of new people and meeting up with friends.

The speaker lineup is pretty sweet, too. Jared Spool is the keynote speaker and he's fantastic. I saw him speak at Web Directions North and was thoroughly impressed. Fellow Ottawan, Derek Featherstone, will also be there along with fellow Sidebar Creatives, Dan Rubin and Bryan Veloso. We tried to get Steve Smith to come but apparently it's his wedding anniversary. Pshaw... Take a look at the speakers list and check out what a great couple of days this should be.

One thing these guys are doing that I hadn't seen before is Platinum Pass Sessions wher eyou can talk one on one with the speakers about your site (with Jared Spool, no less), along with access to other exclusive sessions.

You can save $50 by registering before July 15th. Considering it's only $199, this event is a great value. Even the Platinum Pass is only $399 which is still cheaper than many other conferences.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Poll need pharyngulizin’

Poll need pharyngulizin’ What do you think? Would the world be better off without religion? I'm in the middle of sneezing, coughing, congestion, and medium grade fever, and contemplating the next four nights of work, starting tonight. But here's something, and my actual knowledge of this is incomplete, (Read on Source)
