Re: EXCHANGE PARTITION

Try replacing these 4 lines:

        EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER TABLE DWH.COMISIONES TRUNCATE PARTITION FEB2007 UPDATE GLOBAL INDEXES';          EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER TABLE DWH.COMISIONES MODIFY PARTITION FEB2007 REBUILD UNUSABLE LOCAL INDEXES';                      /* HACER EXCHANGE PARTITION CON LA TABLA DE GRANBANCOSTG */                    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER TABLE  DWH.COMISIONES EXCHANGE PARTITION FEB2007 WITH TABLE COMISIONES WITHOUT VALIDATION UPDATE GLOBAL INDEXES';          EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER TABLE DWH.COMISIONES MODIFY PARTITION FEB2007 REBUILD UNUSABLE LOCAL INDEXES';

with a simple:
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE '      ALTER TABLE  DWH.COMISIONES       EXCHANGE PARTITION FEB2007 WITH TABLE COMISIONES       INCLUDING INDEXES      WITHOUT VALIDATION       UPDATE GLOBAL INDEXES  ';

Make sure that the non-partitioned table has indexes that exactly match the LOCAL indexes of the partitioned table, but NONE of the global indexes.

By having the local indexes all ready on the non-partitioned table, Oracle can swap them over along with the data.

Dispelling Some More Myths

Because, why not? Safeco eats batters alive. Yes, Safeco is a fairly extreme pitcher's park, but there's a reason guys like Rafael Palmeiro and Garret Anderson always seem to do well against us - right field is very hitter-friendly. According to Greg Rybarczyk , the home run factor for right-center is 115 (tied for 11th) and the home run factor ... (Read on Source)

Epic Responds To MS Buyout Rumors

Rumors are flying all over the web on a daily basis, most are too pointless to even receive a comment from those supposedly involved. Up or Out: Where Are IT Jobs Headed?

Enterprise Networking Planet: "We often hear, "all roads lead to management." While that certainly isn't true for everyone, it becomes a stark reality when a long-time techie decides to move up the corporate ladder. Businesses are also less dependent on some IT services, and to remain competitive or even employable, employees need to become more business-aware. As a result, it is increasingly more common to see hard-core techies venturing out to acquire an MBA. They aren't jumping the IT ship; in fact, they're becoming more competitive in the IT world."

Running Slows The Aging Clock, Researchers Find
