There is an important point to accusations made by the English Premier League and all of the new parties joining a lawsuit against YouTube. The word 'encouraging' has been carefully chosen to describe YouTube's role in copyright infringement.
As Reuters noted the addition of the National Music Publishers' Association, the Finnish Football League, and 'Ishmael' author Daniel Quinn add their names to the plaintiff list, we see a decision ultimately coming down to a court's determination of the encouragement, or lack thereof, of copyright infringement.
Encouragement gains importance thanks to the Supreme Court's decision in MGM v Grokster. The justices concluded the defendants encouraged use of their service as a way to get around copyright laws to share work.
Google and YouTube have long held the position that the Digital Millennium Copyright Act protects their operation. When a content owner complains of something wrongly placed on YouTube, the service takes it down.
The court will have to decide if YouTube's encouragement of sharing video is tantamount to saying, "go ahead and violate someone's copyright." Mark Cuban has long believed this, as do the plaintiffs in this suit.
If a judge believes this, we can't see how YouTube or any video site could continue to allow any content uploading without checking every single posting. That possibility centers on how the court interprets encouragement to use the service.

Netbooks/Mini Notebooks...Vista haters can suck it!
With all these new small netbooks/compact laptops like the Asus EEE people keep commenting in online forums such as Slashdot, Engadget, DailyTech, etc. that Vista will crawl and that Vista sucks at this and that and will run like a dog. Really? Maybe if they pulled their heads out of their collective MS hating asses long enough to actually try it instead of repeating what other gerbil zealots are posting online they could get a clue. I run Vista Business edition on an old IBM x31 ultra light laptop from 2003 with a paltry old Pentium M 1.4 Ghz processor and it runs great; I have 2 Gigs of ram and have upgraded the hard drive for more space and speed. Vista Business edition ditches all the fancy pants Premium graphics effects however it still looks almost the same and operates the same. Office 2007 runs fine and I prefer Vista because I can plug anything into that old laptop and it just works. Cameras, GPS, 3G modems, etc. All that and it weighs like 3lbs and fits into my book bag. To sum it up on one phrase...Vista haters can suck it!

Kaspersky Detects New Worms Attacking MySpace and Facebook
Kaspersky Labs, has detected two variants of a new worm, Networm.Win32.Koobface.a. and Networm.Win32.Koobface.b, which attack MySpace and Facebook users.
The worms transform victims machines into zombie computers to form botnets which are used to create DDOS attacks and send spam email.
Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.a infects the user when they access accesses their MySpace account. The worm creates a range of commentaries to friends' accounts.
Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.b, targets Facebook users, creates spam messages and sends them to the infected users' friends via the Facebook site.
The messages and comments include texts such as "Paris Hilton Tosses Dwarf On The Street"; "Examiners Caught Downloading Grades From The Internet"; "Hello; You must see it!!! LOL. My friend catched you on hidden cam"; "Is it really celebrity? Funny Moments and many others".
